Nutrimill Grain Mill
Grinding your own flour is the secret to great tasting whole grain bread.
When I started trying to make my own 100% whole wheat bread I bought whole wheat flour in the supermarket. Big Mistake. One of the components of a grain of wheat is a microscopic amount of oil. If the whole wheat flour sits for too long, the oil turns rancid and imparts a bitterness to the finished loaf of bread.
Some research led me to the fact that if I really wanted great tasting whole wheat bread I would need to grind the wheat myself. Additional research led me to the purchase of the Nutrimill.
It’s not overly noisy. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner when it runs. I pour two cups of wheat in the top and about a minute later I have three cups of flour in the bottom container.
